I’m going to continue playing Final Fantasy XIII as soon as I finish my current project.

Additionally, my heart is pretty fucking doki for Lightning even though she hasn’t stopped moping quite yet.

I think Lightning is way too thin to handle the amount of running and fighting she’s doing. I’m not whaling on her body type or weight; I’m just wondering whether or not someone her size would be capable of handling the amount of effort she exerts.

Whatever. It’s a video game.

Several things about this game have proven to impress me so far:

• The consistency in terms of color and design throughout the immediate setting.
• The attention paid to color and design between and among individual characters and the characters altogether.
• The sheer richness of the story, even from the very beginning of the game.

I’m not impressed with the gameplay, as it’s phenomenally clunky, but I’m just starting out, and as long as the story and imagery show promise I won’t whale on gameplay too hard.

Wow, Lightning is a monumental asshole. Since I’m only just starting the game she still has promise to develop into a good character, but hopefully this doesn’t progress.
